Home Office Feng Shui Consultations: How Having Feng Shui Done in Your Home Office Can Turn Your Home into a Fat Money Making Cow...!
In my Opinion, Home Office Feng Shui is a very specialised area in Feng Shui. Not only does it HAVE TO BE the most versatile room in your house... It's the one room in the house that has to bring in the money - so Home Offices and Home Office Feng Shui is specialised Feng Shui in my book.
Often, Home offices are preferred by creative people. Writers, Actors, Songwriters, Authors, they all work from Home Offices. So a Home Office has to be: a working haven, a productive work space and, at the same time "comfortable" (but not too comfortable). These days many people operate their business from their home office... but only a small proportion of these are millionaires. So what constitues the greatest success in home office arrangements.
In my experience I must say that the best Home Office Layouts and Arrangements I've seen are when the home office is arranged according to the Flying Stars School or the Unseen Influences. This means, whilst taking all the Form and Shape Feng Shui into account, we also apply the Power of Feng Shui at a deeper level. In other words, we arrange the entire layout according to the Flying Stars method for your building.
Flying Stars involves:
1) doing the compass reading and working out the building direction.
2) working out the Flying Stars Chart for the building and locating the Energies that fall over your home office.
3) working out the best positions for things - including yourself - so that you can be supported by these unseen energies and prosperous at the same time.
Ultimately there's a lot to say about Office Feng Shui and Home offices but here are 12 Form and Shape Feng Shui Tips you can use to set up your Home Office and create good Feng Shui.
12 Tips For Setting Up A Home Office :
| 1. |
Never sit at your desk with you back facing the door (into the room or another door into the room), a large window, a large open space in the room. If possible sit so that your back is against a wall and you have the fullness of the room in front of you. This helps to create a productive work space. |
| 2. |
Make sure you have a good source of light in front of you and at your work space. too much light will make you nervous and unable to concentrate and too little light will make you sluggish and unable to act upon opportunities properly. Therefore, the right amount of light is best. Adjust your lighting until you find your right balance. |
| 3. |
Colours are very important in home offices. Working in rooms where there are dark wall colors is stifling and unproductive in Feng Shui because dark colors makes the room too yin - especially if the natural light does not enter the room enough. Effectively, dark colors and not enough light means a "night room" rather than a day room... Since we normally work in the daytime - this is important. And, even if you do work at night... have the room colored in more yang colours such as pale yellows, pale orange tones, white family of colour and avoid blue and purple family of colour if you need to be responsive in your profession as these colors tend to make us too detached and unable to pick up on what's going on. |
| 4. |
Arrange your work space properly. This means get the right storage, work out your system of filing, storage, office equipment, etc so that you make the right purchases. Dont let things mount up on your desk and snow you under - always keep your desk clear of clutter so that you can sit down and start working. |
| 5. |
Try to keep your business life and your personal life separate. For instance, if you get into home activities throughout the course of the day your work will become dispersed. Whereas, even if you just work for three hours a day, if the work is productive and concentrated, it will produce results. This is an Inner Feng Shui thing. |
| 6. |
If possible face one of your three most positive Feng Shui directions. If you dont have access to this information you can purchase our for $1.00 and figure it out in less than three minutes. |
| 7. |
Create a 'Goals Board' and keep it in front of you. Your 'Goals Board' can be anything from a cork board to a white board or the wall if need be. It can store pictures, diagrams, words of wisdom, anything that's inspiring to keep you on your journey. Never mix your "TO DO" list with your 'Goals Board' - keep your Goals Board intact and clear of clutter at all times. |
| 8. |
Never position tall heavy furniture in front of your sitting arrangement. Tall, heavy furniture will make you feel burdened and unable to function. always makes ure these are positioned to the side of you or the wall where your back is. This is very subtle but powerful. |
